Invisibility!

Some of the most insightful experiences happen when people are conversing and they assume that you don’t know their language. Its almost like being invisible i tell you! So here i was at the coffee machine at the workplace and there were these two gults(thats telugu in reverse for those who didn’t know) around and since i was speaking on the phone in malayalam they automatically presumed(wrongly) that i didn’t know any telugu. Much to my chagrin, their conversation veered towards mallus and more interestingly towards the cute mallu girl in their team. In a matter of seconds i learnt, where she was from and even where she lived which was more than what i would have found out even if i had talked to her!! Quite to my surprise, i also found out that Kochi is the capital of Kerala and that Kochi was the closest on the mainland to the Andamans. Ah well maybe , its better not to be invisible.
