Words fail me and unfortunately i definitely don’t have a knack for photography but sometimes the visual is so stunning that any kind of image can’t do justice to it.
What you see is the Arabian Sea on your left and the backwaters on the right. The road is like the middle path between the overwhelming presence of the turbulent sea and the serenity and absolute stillness of the backwaters. Trust me, you will be spellbound for a few minutes. The place is called Varkala, and is about 45 kms from Trivandrum.
Its hard not to fall in love with Kerala.
Psst: These photographs do try to do justice though.
Oh, I’ve been to Varkala. It’s awesome. And the photo isn’t that bad.
Do you live there? *turns green*

I love love love this place…used to bike it to varkala from the estate…love the rains in kerala…used to ride, have hot tea in glass cups at road side tea shops standing under those blue traps, watching the rain…
miss that solitude , the sound of tyre on a wet road , and the sting on rain on the face…
excuse me while I go and sob for a while π

Adorable, (i like the first name better :D) You can turn normal.. only my parents live 30 kms away π
Roopa, Varkala is quite untouched… only the Kovalam and Veli spillovers get there.
Dinsan, Thank you! though the header’s not mine.. obviously.
Di, To live by the sea…that what i told my recruiters when asked for my long term plans π
Karan, It most certainly is!
Ankit, Well, you must have been to other places instead. Can do only so much with time.
Tys, You have done much more than most people ever dreamt of! Even I love chai in the rain.. a few raindrops in the chai make it better i say!
Himank, and thats why its the one i put up out of the 100 odd i clicked!
Sporadic, Thanks! And the green is all-pervasive π
Tia, Thanks but i am not really a photo enthusiast π Even my memories were similar while growing up but now when i can travel and see obscure places… i feel differently. Time is the answer π
